Fitness tracker smartphone wearable Xiaomi becomes the leader
A new report published by Analytics strategy has Just shown That Xiaomi has become the market leader in the wearable smart watch.
The Chinese giant with Amazfit’s smart watches and smart bands are, at the top of the ranking with an increase of 0.7 million units sold, if we compare the result with the same period last year.
Ranking refers to the second quarter of 2017, hence the period from April to June.
In the second quarter of 2016, the company sold 3 million wearable devices, while in the second quarter of 2017 the company sold 3.7 million units.
A big increase in just one year that makes companionship tremble.
Fitbit moved from first to second: while in Q2 of 2017 the company sold 5.7 million units; in the last three months, it sold only 3.4 million units.
It’s been a long time since Fitbit brought some innovation as Xiaomi did with her latest product and the Pebble acquisition did not bring much to wearable.

The CEO has announced that a new Fitness tracking tool will soon be released and thanks to this device things can change.
Meanwhile, Xiaomi conquered the market with its low-cost device, especially Mi Band 2, which is actually sold at a very low price.
Ranking third is Apple, which has recorded sales growth as did the Chinese company.
In Q2 of 2016, 1.8 million Apple watches have been sold, while in Q2 of 2017 the giant from Cupertino sold 2.8 million units.
Currently, Xiaomi holds 17.1% of the market, Fitbit has 15.7% and Apple has 13%.
There was a lower increase in sales this year compared to 2016: while in 2016 the overall YoY growth was 21.2 percent, in 2017 it was 8 percent.
